Republic Day Celebration 2021

Every year, the Republic Day is celebrated by the Doon Blossoms Educational Society family in the school with great enthusiasm. This year although we all were not able to meet in person in the school premises, but honoring the historic date through the virtual celebration, did not reduce the patriotic fervor in each one of us. Virtual Celebration was done by sharing the following information with the students along with an audio consisting of patriotic songs & a motivational messagefrom our respected Director ma’am. The students also participated with great zeal & patriotism by singing the National Anthem & sharing their feelings penned down on paper in the form of drawings. At the school premises the Tricolor was hoisted by honourable Director ma’am in the presence of the heads, administrative staff & ancillary staff.

We are all aware that India got its independence on August 15, 1947 but the nation didn’t have a constitution of its own, instead was governed under the laws implemented by the British.
However, after many deliberations and amendments, a committee headed by Dr B.R Ambedkar submitted a draft of Indian Constitution, which was adapted on 26thNovember, 1949 and officially came into effect on 26th January 1950, since then we celebrate this day. The Republic Day, celebrated every year on 26th January, has gained special significance in the history of India. Every year, this day is celebrated with lots of joy and happiness throughout the nation to make the event colorful and memorable for every citizen of India.
The main Republic Day celebrations are held in the national capital, New Delhi, at the Rajpath in presence of the President of India. The Republic Day parade is a prominent and eye- catching element of the celebration as it showcases India’s Defense Capability, Cultural and Social Heritage. The colorful displays are exhibited by every state depicting their culture.
India is celebrating its 72nd Republic Day on January 26 this year (2021). Since we too are facing the challenge to fight against Covid 19 along with the entire world, the celebrations this year may not be at a great scale. However, on this day, ceremonious parades will take place at the Rajpath, which will be performed as a tribute to India and its glory. The President will unfurlthe National flag and address the nation with the Republic Day speech.

Jai Hind! Jai Bharat!
